VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Our volunteers play a critical role in our mission to empower individuals to build stronger families and communities
Our volunteers change lives
Volunteer opportunities typically include:
- Special Events
- Sorting and Organizing
- Survivor Advocacy
- Clothing and Good Request Fulfillment (“Shopping”)
We may add additional opportunities to our volunteer management system throughout the year based on seasonal need. As an agency, our goal is to ensure volunteer opportunities are meaningful and mutually beneficial.
All volunteers are asked to submit a volunteer application/inquiry below and will be screened for placement into opportunities matching interest, skill, and schedule. All training and orientation will be provided. Our volunteer management system is called Vome and most volunteer opportunities are managed through this platform.
Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Become a Survivor Advocate
Volunteer Advocates take on-call shifts to respond to Indianapolis hospitals to support survivors during a sexual assault forensic exam. Volunteers listen, believe, and support survivors. Volunteers are equipped with materials and education around survivors’ rights and resources.
Volunteers should be 21+, have reliable transportation, and be located in or near Indianapolis. No experience required- all training is provided. Shifts occur around the clock every day of the week. We’ll work with your schedule! Volunteers receive calls to their personal cell phones and only need to travel to the hospital if they receive a call out. Volunteers support survivors ages 14 and up.
